This piece was inspired by institutions, expectation, and “professionalism.”
Influenced by max factor’s beauty micrometer/calibrator, crown of madness 5e, and the nature of the traditional u.s. view on mental health being written and decided from the legacy perspective of the colonizers’ agenda.
Helmet 2 and 3 were interactive pieces. I wore them while people used a drill to add screws to it. 3 was set in the dark in the bathroom.
materials:
1 - Cardboard and wire
2 - wood, screws and bandsaw blade
3 - metal, belt, wire mouth stuffer
